Papership Folding - Current world record 1. The record for folding the most paper ships in general goes to Peter Koppen from Munich, Germany. He has folded more than 200,000 of them. Koppen arranges them in colourful images and sells the collages as artwork 2. The record for the largest number of paper ships ever floated on water belongs to Markus Kunz from Germany. Taking 432 working hours, Markus folded 13,131 paper ships, and then set them to float on 6 September 1980 in water at a swimming pool in Landau, Germany.
